Hi Tim,
Yes I do have a set routine. I do coins with seven coins I place the coins in the spectators hand and he winds up with six and I have the seventh that I got out of his hand. With a deck of cards, I do a card prediction with a regular borrowed deck called “Blastoff” and with a piece of string, rope or ribbon I do ring off the ribbon. These are three killer effects. I usually carry two safety pins and and do the linking pins then Jay Sankeys “Holy Moley”. Both are absolute killers for close-up. Yes I practice! and practice! and I have been doing magic for 55 years and I still practice. I have a ten to fifteen minute showcase this Sunday. I have been practicing and setting it up so that if the angles are not what I prepared for I have alternate stuff that will work surrounded. You know, last minute seating changes can ruin your routine if you are not prepared.

Dear Tim,
I love transposition. I have developed a few twists to some old effects that bring them into the category of “New Trick”. I am writing the manuscript now and will release them later this summer. I will market them with a complete package so it is ready to work. The trouble is most people buy something, receive it in the mail and put it in their act that night! I have practiced magic for over 50 years and still practice before presenting an effect to the public. You can take a $250.00 effect and get very poor response from your audience. Someone can do a $5.oo effect and really do a professional presentation and enthrall an audience. The effect is nothing without a professional presentation. I recommend working on an effect until it is flawless and ready for public presentation.
Best regards,Savannamagic
